Rebranding Mobile World Congress felt like the next natural step in our ongoing relationship with the GSMA. Mobile World Congress is the world’s largest mobile industry exhibition and conference drawing prominent executives representing mobile operators, device manufacturers, technology providers, vendors and content owners from across the world.
We knew that creating a design concept and brand character that had impact on a massive scale as well as look good in small, awkward corners required a flexible and expandable design approach. Whatever we delivered needed to work across everything related to a big ticket event, from a responsive website, to mobile apps, print, signage and so much more.
By working some unique brand character within the key typeface used across GSMA properties, the result is a logo for Mobile World Congress that can stand alone in it’s own right when decoupled from the other brand elements. In addition to the rebranding, we delivered an overarching design theme and visual language which elegantly integrates the key messaging of the show. A visual language that reflects the pioneering and inventive characteristics that inherently fuel the development of the mobile industry.
