10 Feel Good Instagram Pages to Follow

During the 2020 COVID pandemic, Instagram has become a place of solace & inspiration for many housebound socialites and frustrated travellers around the world.

From inspiring quotes to pets doing the darndest things, Instagram has many accounts dedicated to bringing a daily dose of happiness to their followers. Whether you want motivation, inspiration or a much-needed laugh, here are 10 Feel Good Instagram accounts to start following right now.

1. Good News: @thehappybroadcast

Tired of all the negative, anxiety-provoking things you see on the news? So was artist and author of The Happy Broadcast, Marco Gatti. His goal “to illustrate and share positive news from around the world in the hope that it brings you some happiness and inspires you to spread some good news yourself!”

2. Food: @dinewithtasha

With so many diets to consider, this was no easy feat! We love this page not only for the mouthwatering food she posts but also for the beautifully styled images and the fact that Tasha includes the recipes of her meals in the posts. Delicious, delectable and damn near impossible to not get hungry when scrolling through her page, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

3. Mental Health: @stacieswift

From the author of You Are Positively Awesome, Stacie Swift shares the most inspiring thoughts, messages and colourful designs with her followers. As with her book, this Instagram page is all about “Good vibes and self-care prompts for all of life’s ups and downs”.

4. Excercise: @thebodycoach

Undeniably the nicest guy in fitness today, Joe Wicks is a fitness crusader in every sense of the word. From his PE classes for children to his fierce workouts for adults – we absolutely love Joe and have all fallen victim to his exercise routines, his “Lean in 15” cooking videos and best of all, his humble but mischievous English charm!

5. Animals: @doggydaycarefarmtrips

If we introduce one reader to this fantastic page, our job here is done! Introducing Luke, Sam, Charlie, Bandit and all of the other incredible dogs that attend the Doggy Daycare Farm Trips in Sydney, Australia. From dock diving and swims in the Magnesium pool to long runs chasing Luke on the quadbike, these dogs are the happiest pups you ever will see. Birthdays are celebrated with “pupcakes”, tea “pawties” and sleepovers just to name a few. Do yourself a favour and set a reminder to watch (at least) one of the daily videos Sam so lovingly puts together. The music is always uplifting and the happiness of the dogs, completely contagious!

6. Quotes: @thegoodquote

Founded by Meggan Roxanne, this page “advocates for mental health and self-development through literature and discussion.” If you’re looking for an inspiring quote to get through a rough day or to encourage a friend, this is the page to visit.

Have you been missing your trips abroad? Don’t worry, Trey Ratcliff has you covered. As it says in his bio, “he is a warm-hearted, old-school gentleman explorer with really cool toys”. He’s been lucky enough to travel all over the world and shares the beautiful reminders from each place on his Instagram page for all of us to see. If that’s not enough, go ahead and check out his blog at https://stuckincustoms.com/.

10. Humour: @kidsaretheworst

If COVID has taught us anything, it’s that parents are fed up with their kids. We know you’ve been through a lot this year, so we’re dedicating this page to you. As its author, Anna Macfarlane, says “It’s ok to laugh. You were the worst once, too.”

Conclusion

In dark and trying times, focus on what sparks joy in your life and let go of that which holds you back.
